How to Do SEO for Your Website?

If you have a website, most likely you know what SEO is and how it works. If NOT YET, here are a couple of "why" You should include SEO strategy in your Digital Marketing plan.
SEO stats shows that 68% of online experiences begin with a search engine( Ahrefs), which is why to be found on Google is very important for any business. And without SEO strategy, this is simply not possible.
If you're a newbie in business, you might wonder from what to start. The best results you'll achieve hiring SEO Service company or SEO freelancer. But if you'll decide to do SEO by yourself, here are the first steps you should start with.
On-site SEO checklist
Any SEO strategy starts from on-site SEO. In simple words, we need to make sure that website is friendly and easy to understand for both - visitors and google robots. So, how to achieve it?
1. Relevant and useful information
Give attention to the content that you're creating. There's a lot of misleading and not useful content on the internet these days. So first thing every business should consider is what information to publish that to create a positive customer experience.
2. Content is a KING
The magic rule every SEO Services professional knows. For SEO purposes, you should create long-form content, filled with the right keywords. Quality-driven content that seeks to keep people engaged for a longer time, will typically rank higher in search engine results. And the very important thing - avoid copying others! This is a big mistake many are making, not knowing that NOT original content, even though it looks super great and high quality, will work against you and might even decrease your appearance on search results. Try to keep your website content as original as possible, and DO NOT USE the exact text from website for your SEO Articles.
3. Choose the right keywords
This is a very important step & You definitely should do keyword research before diving deeper. Right keywords helps to reach the right audience, which is why you should take this point really seriously. Use Online tools to measure and get suggestions related to your topic. A couple of my favorites are keywords everywhere, Ahrefs, and if you run Google Ads, their Keyword planner is a handy and really great tool. If you don't feel confident with defining the right keywords, you can always look for SEO company that will do this step for you. Many companies offer keyword research as a separate service, and there's no need to buy a full SEO service package if you don't want to.
4. Meta Tags
Meta Tags are snippets of text that describe a page's content. It doesn't appear on the page itself, but you can see it when your page appears on Google Search results.
This part is an important guide for Google robots defining what about your page is and when it's relevant to show it on Google search.
What to write on Meta Tags? Use main 1-2 keywords from your keywords research, which are related to that specific page. If the page is about wooden toys, then mention them, but don't use ex. dolls, if page is not about it, even though you sell them, and Dolls are also listed on your website.
Recommended Meta Tags length is between 50-60 characters.

5. Meta descriptions
Like Meta Tags, Meta descriptions are very important for your website optimization, so Google robots could better understand your page content. It also appears on Google search results below Meta Tags. Use this description to tell search engines as well as potential visitors why they should visit your website. Try to be as clear as possible, and don't forget to use the right keywords.
Recommended length between 120–160 characters.

6. Images are also text
Yes, it's true! Images on the website can be a Double WIN thing if we use them correctly. Well-designed images and graphics create a great visual look and helps keep visitors attention. Also, research shows that human brains read visual content 60,000 times faster than text and are easier to remember. But what if I'll tell you that you can use them as a valuable SEO asset as well? With proper image optimization, you can create a better user experience and get additional ranking opportunities. Simply, all your images and graphics name with relevant keywords before uploading them to the website. Use the same rule as for Meta Tags - use just those keywords that are related to that specific page and topic.
So, these are a few simple steps that will help you to build Your Website on-site SEO. In my next blog I'll cover other useful SEO topics & tips, so if you find it useful, stay connected. :)
